I just have a random question.
As I am not familiar with many forums and proboards in particular... I see Shoutbox at the bottom of the page. What exactly is that? I'm guessing its some kind of live chat? Or am I wrong?

Oh, at the moment it's just for random shout outs, not really for live chatting. (Though I guess it could be used for this, too.)

Ah.. Okay. I've got it now.
(Will resist the urge to call out random words..... though I'm feeling the strange urge to shout out "Pie" for some reason, but then I'd have to pout because I have none...)

Shoutboxes are generally used to make announcements, recognize an achievement, things like that. It has been kinda used for a lot of things here. This is not a real formal board. lol. However, it is hard to see so I usually miss the shouts. It can be moved to the top or maybe the side but because things get kinda quiet in between NaNo, it really isn't as useful here.

We have a white board at work where people write random things. Kind of lets off steam and makes us laugh. Also reminds us of parties and holidays and such.
