? I'm not sure what you mean? Can you not post your website link? I know that you have one.
My thoughts on self promotion are people who continually post and repost and repost about their site and work it into every post so that members [who are well aware of their site] start to not like them and start ignoring anything they say. It adds a bad taste to the forum. I've seen that happen before.
Or a member is selling something and wants to make money so they post links promoting that product. That isn't what this forum is about.
Also self promotion is someone who joins a forum for the sole purpose of making money.

I have no problem with members posting their websites or social media links on their profile or in their signature. Even though the signature will show up on every post, a signature is something at the end of a post and easily ignored. The members can still read your post and jump over the signature if they wish. I know a lot of people at the Nano forums do this in their signatures and I have visited a lot of websites and added friends to my social sites from this practice.
