I thought it was for the individual account too, for a bit. But it talks of stacking groups of 50000 page views of ad-free in the Admin portal for Admin to apply. And it seems to imply that this may cover a month.

The lowest amount is for 50000 page views - certainly WAY too many for ANYONE to use for MANY months - except Boomboom, of course ;-)

Am I completely off base?

Besides, I actually remember when trying to sell something on the internet got you KICKED OFF the internet. I still get cross when I see advertising.

Hey Jeff, I remember those days, too. And the days before internet with that plethora of local nets & institution-specific nets, the days of sending JCL to the mainframe, on back to the days of cards and the troglodyte community that lived in the basement with the machine eating canned Scottish stew from a vending machine. Each with its own odd, cultural norms, but no ads.

I purchased this month's removal of the banner ads. Let me know if you still see them.
It's $8.00 per month or 50,000 page views. Last month we got a little over 15,000. So anyone who would like to chip in for next month, remember to do it at the beginning of the month (oopsie on my part).
And also anyone who would like to try it out: Adblock Plus. It's a free extension for Firefox and also Chrome. I have it on both of my browser and it's amazing the ads it takes away. I'm ad-free a lot of the time.
