Well, I'm definitely late to the party, but welcome! It does tend to be pretty slow here but isn't a bad place to start. As Boom said, most of the members are more active on Scribophile, but we still use this as a gathering place for the occasional call to arms.

Why the hesitation? Genuinely curious. I was a member for a year before I actually started using it. I'd just pop in occasionally and read the forums. A lot of people have the wrong idea about being a member.
